Is American democracy in danger? Congressman Jamie Raskin, member of the Democratic Party, expert in constitutional law and lead impeachment manager in the second impeachment trial of former president Donald Trump, will speak about January 6, 2021, how he experienced that day in Congress and how he perceives its aftermath. The lawyer has written a very personal book about the subject, which is also the moving story of his late son Thomas B. Raskin. The talk will be followed by a discussion with Prof. Dr. Pierre Thielböger, Executive Director of the Institute for the International Law of Peace and Armed Conflict (IFHV).
